Boycott American Idol!
February 22, 2009

I am thoroughly pissed off!!! I just watched American Idol and they were picking their top 36.
Jamar didn’t make. How the hell is this possible?!?!?! No, REALLY!! How on earth is it frickin possible that idiots like that gay-emo, Norman/Nick and Tatiana make it but one of the best singers doesn’t make it?! What the hell?!?!
I am absolutely disgusted with the American Idol producers and judges for letting mediocre singers go through just because they might think this helps keep their TV ratings up. Sorry, but it doesn’t work that way! You end up losing legitimacy and loose people’s respect. You lose the respect of those people that watch this show for what it is; a SINGING COMPETITION.
This isn’t American Diva or American Weirdo, this is supposed to be American Idol.
Sorry, you have just lost a viewer. Good luck to David Gokey, Anoop Desai and Stephen Fowler; the only left that are actually talented.

A slow Friday
February 20, 2009

It’s been a slow day today. I haven’t really done much. I went to the mall with my parents and bought some groceries. I went to Gin Tricot and tried some stuff on but they didn’t seem to want to fit me! All of the clothes I tried on were a bit too big for me…weird.
hmm..what else? I bought the latest issue of Glamour. I don’t know if anybody has noticed but they always have a bunch of spelling errors in their articles. It’s really annoying! But I have to say Scarlett Johansson looks great on the cover of the March issue! I am in love with her makeup.

Ahh sorry guys I’m not really in the mood to blog right now. I’ll be back later. Listen to this while I am gone.

Help!

My friends and I have planned a second trip for this summer. We are going to Turkey! But we are havnig some reaaal problems trying to decide which city we want to go to!! First we had our mind set on Antalya but now we might be thinking it might be cool to go to Bodrum instead. Which city in Turkey would you reccomend? Doesn’t need to be Bodrum or Antalya, just name your favourite one!

H&M Home
February 19, 2009

Sorry I don’t have any pictures for this post but I just thought I could quickly review the stuff that I saw. Well, I have to say that it wasn’t bad at all!! The website was a bit hard to navigate, it was really slow, but the things that I did see I actually really liked a lot. There were a bunch of pillows that I would like to buy! 😀 And there were a bunch of styles you could choose from and I always value diversity. All in all I would give 4/5. Pretty nice stuff at cheap prices! 🙂

I apologoze!

Sorry I couldn’t blog from my friends house, we were too busy drooling over Ozan and Murat Boz. And then flipping over Tarkan. And we both discovered that both T.I. and Serdar Ortac have a lot of teeth. Hahaha.

So what have you people done?? Anything fun? 😀 I just got home a while ago and now I am eating scrambled eggs with sausage hehe. Yummy!
I’m about to go check out the new home section in H&M. I Can come back with a review of it later!

February 18, 2009

Hello folks!!! How are all of you doing today?? I’m pretty good actually! I don’t know why I’m in such a good mood today, but I am and that’s all that matters!
I’m not doing much today. I might be going over to a friends house if she still isn’t ill. I’m waiting for her to contact me. What are people doing today? Except for school and work that is! Anything special??

Thought of the day
February 17, 2009

I have noticed something. Everytime I move, which is quite often, I end up changing style. I don’t mean style of clothes or my attitude. I’m talking about the music I listen to.
When I was a little kid I listened to pop music. Who didn’t? The Backstreetboys and Michael Jackson were the shizznet! And of course I could always hear 2Pac blasting from my brothers room and my parents played Persian music 24/7. When I moved to Canada (I was born in Finland, moved to Canada when I was 7) I still listened to pop and what have you but also, for some very odd reason, Eros Ramazzotti, Andrea Bocelli and Celine Dion.  I don’t know why but I loved, and still love, their music.
After living in Canada for about a year and a half I moved to Sweden. This is when I started listening to RnB. And I’m not talking about crappy RnB. I’m talkiing about artists like Joe, Donell Jones and Craig David (the old Craig, not the new crappy one).
I lived in Sweden for a few years and then moved Finland. I stuck with my RnB roots but also started listening to a lot of Hip Hop and weirdly enough rock. My rock phase didn’t last too long, only a few months, but it happened. I guess the hormones got the best of me. This was also the period where I got introduced to B2K. Hahahaha gosh I LOVED THEM. I absolutely frickin adored them!
So I lived in Finland for about a year (yes, I have moved a lot!) and then moved back to Sweden. Hahaha this is my “gangsta” period. Now I wasn’t anything like these wannabe gangstas, I just listened to a lot of Hip Hop. Loads of Hip Hop and RnB. Especially B2K until they broke up. Haha.
Sooooo after that I moved back to Canada (yeah I really meant it when I said I have moved a lot) I started listening to a lot of RnB and Soul music. I sort of became very hippie-ish. Haha I listened to a lot of underground Hip Hop and loooooads of RnB/Soul. India Arie, Common and Lupe were huge favourites.
Now I have moved back to Finland. What do I listen to know? Middleastern music. Especially Tarkan. I have always listened to middle eastern music (especially Tarkan!) but now it seems to be the only thing I listen to. I’ve gotten pretty sick of western music and it really doesn’t appeal to me anymore. It’s pretty weird but I love it.
So, who knows what kind of music I’ll be listening to next time I move. We shall see!!

Finally!
February 17, 2009

I am finally done with my first geography book!! Thank God! I hate that book with a passion. It’s so boring to read about mountains and water. Seriously who gives a damn?! Now cultural geography is more my thing. I’m gonna go get started on that soon but first I wanted to blog a little!
I’ve been looking around at Topshops online store and I have found a lot of things that I would love to own. But unfortunately we don’t even have topshop in Finland! 😦 Really sad, I know. We barely have any good stores over here. I might be going to Sweden next month though so hopefully I  might be able to do some shopping there with my parents money haha. 🙂

How are people doing today? I’m doing just fine if you ignore the fact that I’m studying geography. But I only have about 2 chapters left to go on this book and then I can move on to my next geography book. That one is about cultural geography which I really like so it will be easier to study!
I’m currently just studying and listening to some nice tabla (drum) solos (belly dance music). I really feel like performing because it has really been a while since I did! For those who are new to my blog; I love to belly dance! I’ve been doing it since I was about 9 years old so it plays a huge role in my life. But the last time I performed was in April (you can read about it if you got my April archive)! Let’s see if I get the opportunity to perform this year at all.
