I have a day off today so I have some time to blog a little bit. I know I haven’t done a good job of keeping up with the blog these past few weeks, but like I said I’m ery busy with school. But I promise I will be back again in about 2 weeks time. I have some great ideas for this blog and I have thought about actually making this blog a bit bigger. By that I mean just promoting it more (something i haven’t done so far because I haven’t really wanted a huge popular blog). We’ll see what happens.
Like I said, I have a day off from scohol today. But I am doing very complicated math exercises so it’s not all that great. Thankfully, I have an appointment with the Makeup Store in 3 hours so that will be fun! I got a one hour makeup lesson with them as a gift from my brother! He’s great at giving gifts as you can see! 🙂
This week I have a very busy schedule. I have an English test on Thursday, a Swedish test on Friday, and a 6 hour long math test on Saturday (shoot me!). On Monday I have an aesthetics (philosophy) test and I haven’t even opened the book yet. On Tuesday I have a geography test and once again I haven’t even opened the book yet. I have another Swedish test on Tuesday (two tests, one day. yippie!). And on Thursday I have the first part of my official exam in Swedish. Maybe now you acn see why I don’t have time to blog?! 🙂
But I’ll be back!

Selfish “friends” January 23, 2009

I should be studying right now but I can’t concentrate anymore. I need to get a few things off my chest before I can continue studying again.

The definition of friendship is, according to wikipedia, “co-operative and supportive behavior between two or more people. In this sense, the term connotes a relationship which involves mutual knowledge, esteem, and affection and respect along with a degree of rendering service to friends in times of need or crisis. Friends will welcome each other’s company and exhibit loyalty towards each other, often to the point of altruism. Their tastes will usually be similar and may converge, and they will share enjoyable activities. They will also engage in mutually helping behavior, such as exchange of advice and the sharing of hardship. A friend is someone who may often demonstrate reciprocating and reflective behaviors. Yet for many, friendship is nothing more than the trust that someone or something will not harm them.”

I find it incredibly ironic how some people that call themselves your friend don’t understand this simple definition. It is not astrophysics. It’s a simple and natural way of life. Yet…some people still don’t get it. They think they can get away with anything they do to their friends. But oh so wrong these people are…
A true friend accepts you. A true friend RESPECTS you. A true friend doesn’t accuse you of lying. A true friend understands.

You are not a true friend. Goodbye.

Last Day of Freedom January 6, 2009

So this is the last night before school starts again. I am just writing to say that I really won’t have time to blog much in the next 2 months. I have exams and a bunch of courses to focus on and they are more important to me than this blog. I won’t stop blogging, I just might not do it as often. I will blog whenever I have time and energy. But I promise when I come back I will come back with a gang. Just hang on with me these next two months! 🙂

Twilight January 5, 2009

I just saw the movie (it premiered here in Finland 3 days ago). Oh My God! EDWARD CULLEN!!!!!! HOLY CRAP! DUDE! WTF?!?!?! I WANT HIM! He was sooo incredibly sexy and badass, yet thoughtful and sweet. THIS is the combination I am looking for in a guy and I have only seen 3 guys with this combo. Edward Cullen (played by Robert Pattinson who also played Cedric DIggory in the fourth Harry Potter movie ;)), TARKAN, and the waiter at the Popi Popi restaurant in Rome. As you can see they all live faaar faaar faaaaaaar away from Finland.
I admit I haven’t read the Twilight series yet even if I have known about the series for a looooong time. First I wasn’t really interested, Harry Potter took a lot of my time haha. Then I actually kind of forgot about it until I heard there was a movie coming out (this was AGES ago). SO, I decided to see the movie first and then read the books. We all know that the books are better than the movies and I didn’t wan to read the book first and THEN be dissapointed by the movie. So I waited and here I am now completely in love with this movie (well, Edward Cullen to be exact!)! I am DEFINITELY going to read the books now….once my exams are finished!

– H&M’s new spring collection. I gotta say I really like a few things that they have now. Thank God they are getting on the right track again, their clothes were starting to suck a little!

– Year 2009. I have to say that I am very excited for this year! I have a lot of things going on for me. My exams aren’t going to be fun at all but graduation certainly will! But I am rewarding myself by going on trips! Stockholm, Rome, Antalya and hopefully Prague! Right, Tina? 🙂 muah!

– Winter. Cold weather. Dark. Boring. I hate it. I detest it. I want it go away!

– My exams. They are such pain in the ass! Not only do I have 7 COURSES this period but I also have these damned exams to worry about. Uuuuugh! Now you might understand why my new years resolution was to stick to my study plan. Hopefully I will be able to follow through…
